How does public transit (TTC) work ?
Within the city, there are 3 modes of public transit: subways, streetcars and buses (see route map, hours of service). Obtain a free transfer when paying your fare, if your single trip will involve 2 or more modes. Subways (underground trains) run every 2-3 minutes. Streetcars and buses run at scheduled times; these vehicles are equipped with GPS. RocketMan (for iPhone) and NextBus (any device) are useful apps which predict when the next transit vehicle will arrive at your local stop. A TTC day pass is good value for weekend travel by couples. Bike Share Toronto is an option for short trips within the downtown core. The regional commuter system (train, bus) is called GO Transit.
Where is the nude beach?
Take the ferry to Hanlan's Point. Follow the signs to the "clothing optional" beach. Everyone is welcome.
